Local Teen Says Thanks to Healthcare Workers with Inspiring Video

Local teen, Isabel Yi, was recently featured in Loudoun County Magazine for her amazing video expressing gratitude to our healthcare workers! Isabel collected videos from people all around the community and created this inspiring video to show her appreciation!  Way to go, Isabel!

Speech and Debate Class to Raise Funds for Touching Heart Programs

Register now for NOVA Speech Academy’s Speech and Debate Training and improve your public speaking skills while helping Touching Heart!  20% of each registration fee will benefit Touching Heart programs.

SESSION 1: JUNE 29th – JULY 10th

SESSION 2: JULY 20th – JULY 31st

EVERY WEEKDAY FROM 10 AM – 12 PM

Session Cost:  $120

ADDITIONAL PRIVATE TUTORING FOR $20/hr

Sessions are taught by Sean Nguyen and Jason Yi, a Senior and Junior at Thomas Jefferson High School, who are Captain and Senior Officer of the Speech Team. Both are ranked Top 20 in the Virginia National Speech and Debate Association as well as Metrofinals Champion and 3rd Place finalist in Impromtu.

Cooking Up Help for a Local Homeless Shelter

Cooking fans joined our recent Zoom-style cooking class featuring an amazing demo by cooking guru, Janice Host and a wine pairing discussion by wine enthusiast, Dr. David Deiboldt.  Redskins legend, Ken Harvey, joined in the fun as well!  Our Kids on a Mission leader for this event was Ishika Kataria, who spoke eloquently about her goal for this event,  to help kids in a local homeless shelter.  Funds raised were used to create care packages for children at the Loudoun County Emergency Shelter.  Thank you to all who made this event such a success!

Blingo Event Raises Funds for Children in Foster Care

Our recent Blingo event was a fun evening of games for a great cause!  Our online Zoom-style-bingo event, lead by Touching Heart’s Junior Board, raised funds to provide food and necessities such as diapers, for local foster care children and families suffering during the Covid-19 crisis.  This event and the beautiful jewelry prizes were sponsored by CB Jewelry. Thank you to all who participated to help us help kids in need!

It’s a good day when you can help others! Thanks to the generous donations to our food drive this week, our first collection is headed out to bless children in need in foster care and their families!

The food drive will continue the week of April 13-17th.
