GMU Students On A Mission – Civility Day #1 Posted December 10, 2015 by admin

GMU impactWe had an amazing group of students from a Civility Class at George Mason University lead College Students on a Mission fundraising projects to support older kids in foster care on December 4, 2015. They raised money to provide bicycles and gift cards for basic items. Bicycles are a key form of transportation for these students to get to schools and work and basic needs such as detergent, toiletries, and food are essential to everyday living. The bicycle team designed and sold t-shirts as their project and the gift card team dressed in holiday attire and passed out free hot chocolate and candy canes while collecting donations. Both teams did an amazing and inspirational job talking to fellow students and teachers about the foster care cause and how these students who are transitioning out of foster care still need help.
